Daydream (Quilt)

A couple of years ago, I bought a magazine because of this picture:

It reminded me of a quilt that I grew up with and I decided I wanted to make it.  While looking at the picture below, I saw on the left side what I consider a mistake, but reading through the magazine, supposedly the lady ‘intentionally’ put the squares in incorrectly.

Well, *I* was not going to be like that lady - mine is finished and, in my opinion, correct.  😂

I put the extra wide borders (10”) on it because we wanted it to come down to the rail on the side.

We (Steve and I) think it is perfect!

Another one goes to the quilter.  😊

Philbrook Art Museum Musings

 Here is a smile:

We were at Philbrook art museum in Tulsa last weekend.  Saw some great art:

And I realized I had forgotten to take a picture of the beautiful gardens…

But:

Those stupid people would not move so I could get a picture of the gardens!  Why the heck did people keep taking pictures of those jerks?!?

Finally, I get my pics between their dozens - but they didn’t move over enough so I could center:

Then the evening news comes on:

These are THOSE people!

Oh?  They were who?!?  No, those guys woulda been dressed much nicer, and surely that ladies boobs wouldn’t have been hanging out!!

But.  They.  Were.

Ugh.

And they had been in our paths all through the day.  In their house shoes even.  At least they sure looked like house shoes.

What do you think?  House shoes or very ugly sandals?  🤣

A day late and a dollar short.  Yes, we browsed with them for hours.  But we were *clueless*

*sigh*

Justa swimmin’  🐠

My Little Wooden Man

I passed this precious wood carving in a consignment store.  He absolutely drew me in.  I passed him up, went back, put him back, looked a third time and talked myself out of spending $20 on him.

We walked out to the car and I felt an absolute NEED to race back in and get him.  Telling my friend to stop the car, I left both ladies and ran back to my little guy, picked him up and went through the cashier, and back to the car - proudly showing him off.

We had a good laugh over that - until I looked up C.O. Trygg.  None of us are laughing now - what a great find!  Look him up!
