WAKE-UP! WAKE-UP!
There are showers to take, shoes to buy, jewelry to pick out – shopping to do!
Oh we must go to the soccer games today? Wow! *Tossing back the curtains and pulling up the blinds…* What a beautiful day to play soccer! Run get dressed so we can play in our garden!
Soccer is such a fun sport and such a nice time of year for it as well! Children scurrying about frantically trying to get the ball in the goal and parents lingering in the garden chatting about the flowers they are nurturing. Days like this just make you want to beg for more – plenty of time for tending the flowers and enjoying the garden God has planted before your very eyes.
Sirens? The keep coming and coming… hundreds of them! Off in the distance, then passing by, then off in the distance again and passing by again. “Lord be with them” is my first thought – then “someone’s life has just changed” immediately follows. Oh WAIT! It is the D.A.R.E. parade! Ahhh, they are changing our lives. LOOK! Over there! A parade in our garden - of a hundred officers saying DARE to look at us – drug free and caring for your children. Be stong.
Our garden was noisy, but how it grows.
We are off to the city to buy homecoming shoes. The week is planned and there is only a moment to do this – so shop we must. I am just doing the necessary chores in the garden today. Orchid is meeting us in the city. She found her way to be here for Monday.
